Hall of Fame Nominee – Brett Alexander

For the 2023 CHSSA Hall of Fame, the Southern California Speech League would once again like to nominate Brett Alexander. Since Brett started coaching in 1993, CHSSA had inducted 44  members into its Hall of Fame, but only two of those honorees have come from the S.C.D.L. A vote for Brett shows your support for someone who has served his school, his team, his league and this state proudly for three decades.

Brett Alexander has twice hosted the CHSSA State Championships (1997 & 2001), has served as a CHSSA Committee member for seven years while he was SCDL President, and has coached multiple state champions. In his league, Brett has served as a league officer 16 of his 30 years in the league, serving as President, Vice President, and Secretary, and is currently in his second stint as Treasurer. For his league, he has opened Long Beach Poly H.S. to host dozens of tournaments, and he has coached hundreds of students and has enjoyed a rewarding, and successful career working at his alma mater.

A tireless worker and a devoted husband and father of two, Brett Alexander has been a foundation in the Southern California Debate League for each of his thirty years of service. He is willing to do whatever it takes to support our league’s students, parents, and coaches. Please give Mr. Alexander your vote for the Hall of Fame and the backing of our league’s nomination.
